Overview

The Analyst, FP&A will be responsible for planning, reporting, forecasting and analyzing revenue and key expense accounts. The Analyst, FP&A will maintain and develop processes in support of company objectives and identify and define opportunities to improve performance and positively impact results via complex analysis and financial modeling.

 

This role will be based out of our Hampton, NH office, and will be expected to work our hybrid work schedule. 

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders and broader FP&A team on revenue and marketing annual plan and quarterly forecasts.
  • Track and analyze variances to forecast and historical results and communicates actionable insights to stakeholders and the Planet Fitness executive leadership team.
  • Prepare and review key financial analysis to support Investor Relations in quarterly external reporting.
  • Actively manage integrity of data and reporting within financial and operational systems across key performance metrics including membership, billings, and marketing expense accounts.
  • Maintain oversight and control of plan/forecast versions within financial planning tool including communication of changes to versions throughout planning cycles.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts of the existing financial reporting tools, systems, and processes.
  • Execute ad-hoc analytic requests, database queries, and report generation as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or another quantitative field
  • 3+ years in corporate finance, accounting, consulting, or investment banking role
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem solving skills
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other analytical software such as IBM Planning Analytics or comparable tools
  • Familiarity with planning, dashboard, and data visualization software tools.
  • Experience in multi-unit retail, a franchising, or subscription-based revenue models a plus
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and as a strategic partner in a team environment
  • High attention to detail with an eagerness to review and analyze data
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills along with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Creative, progressive, thought leadership with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
  • Dedicated learner with a natural curiosity for consistent growth
  • Exhibits comfort, ease, and flexibility working in an extremely fast-paced ever-changing, deadline-driven environment
